This is a Drag & Drive type, full custom engine that can be built in a variety of configurations. It is still street capable, meaning it can operate on pump gas and it retains traditional head gaskets. Its 3,000 hp rated, flex-fuel sister engine uses copper head gaskets with O-rings which can handle higher levels of boost. Copper head gaskets however require frequent adjustments making them probematic for cars that see a lot of driving. The major mechanical components of the two engines however are otherwise the same.

We modified the engine in the video below from street/strip to track-only in its second season (copper head gaskets, O-rings). It is this that is shown on the hub dyno. Our engine dyno is rated to 2,500 hp so we weren't able to run this engine up to the boost level it was designed to handle. The customer was able to get his Camaro onto ProSpeed's hub dyno and aired it out. Running 44 psi boost, he hit 2,737hp at the wheels as reported by Muscle Cars & Truck.

As can be seen in the table below, even the numbers on our dyno break-in at low boost were pretty amazing.

We ran without water to our dyno's intercooler in order to mimic what will happen in the vehicle, which has no intercooler. Thanks to the super-efficient Bullseye NLX turbos, intake air temps never went above 110 F and the back pressure was minimal (< 2 psi). EGTs were so low that the headers didn't even light up (see video below). We also love their full ball-bearing design and patented adjustable MAP groove.

All BRE engines are individually dyno tested and tuned. Customers will be supplied with video of their engine's dyno along with the dyno and build sheets.
